My initial days at SPEC Hyderabad

So Hey!! wonderful people who are reading this blog a very warm welcome to all of you this is your companion Celestial aka CH
First of all, I would like to reveal that now I'm in a college Yes it is St.Peters Engg College in Hyderabad and I have joined my btech for the CSM branch and
I'm enjoying my days here a lot., So through this blog, I'll be sharing my experiences with faculties, colleagues, and seniors.

Introduction:

It is the dream of every engg student to be in a good college that encourages them to have more practical knowledge than just reading and learning theory,
A good campus where we not only learn from books and practice our respective subjects but who provides an open environment to have overall development.
and at St Peter's College, I think Ian'll be able to have that opportunity.
they have very helpful and encouraging faculties, co-workers, and above all that, A very good network of seniors
eager to assist us with a lot of stuff to learn.

My 1st day:: Ignite the Orientation session:

Before the start of every journey, it is very important to have awareness of your path and your goals, and a very transparent vision of your obstacles and ways to tackle them, So for a meaningful start our respective college faculties and seniors organized an orientation session for all the 1st year students and their parents who r going to be a part of this huge family.
lots of cultural activities and introductory sessions for the college, their clubs, their vision, and expectations from the students as institutions were shared.
They all shared their life experiences, failures, and successes, and the importance of consistency and discipline to encourage us to maintain good academic records.
The placement and training cell along with the HOD of the respective branches talked about all the resources with which they assist us to become a better Engg.

My 2nd day :: The Induction session:

The second day of college started at 9 am with a notice to gather at the seminar hall, luckily I made a new friend and got to know that there are lots of students like me, who are a little shy but very curious,
so for the session, two motivational speakers were invited to guide us.

1st one was Mr . Gampa Nageshvar Rao a motivational speaker and founder of The Impact who has mentored lakhs of students across the globe and has millions of followers on social sites although he was mostly speaking in Telugu I can feel the energy in his words, the line that attracted me the most was that the smile is a little curve that can make your life straight. Also, he shared some insight into good books written by him and a very clever strategy for life that can have a big improvement on us which is dividing your 24 hours into 7 8 9 rule with a minimum of 7 hours for sleep, 8 hours of study a 9 hrs of entertainment, here entertainment means working on yourself. Overall his way of talking and guiding us was very friendly and funny, especially his funny facial expressions.

The second wonderful person was  Mr.Krishna Kishore The founder of Hundred Pins a motivational speaker as well the one who was taking our personality development sessions.
He shared with us some successful mantras for students in this competitive world and ever-changing tech environment.

Mantra no.1 Win competitions:

He encouraged us to participate in all kinds of activities whether it an extra-curricular or co-curricular and not only participate but to show an active presence as well as a zeal to be at the top to win them.

Mantra 2. Do internships:

he said that practical knowledge is as important as gaining theoretical knowledge, so he shared his views on attending a lot internships as possible to enhance our practical knowledge.

Mantra 3. Be tech-savvy:

he also motivated us to have a zeal to learn technologies and also try to have an in-depth knowledge of everything, especially good programming skills, and acquire plenty of online certifications.
He showed light on various free platforms that can equip us with future-ready techs.

Mantra 4. Be great at mathematics:

Sharing the importance of mathematics he suggested s to solve the maths syllabus of the CAT exam, He further added that interviews don't ask vast questions they just want to know whether the candidates can solve real-life maths problems or not.

Mantra 5. Vocabulary and language:

Besides everything he said he also reflected light on communication skills and having a good collection of vocabulary of simple words, that help us impressively present our thoughts.
he further suggested some goods for reading to develop reading habits
like 1. Word Power Made Easy by Norman Lewis
       2. Six weeks to words of power by Wilfred J . Funk
       3. All About Words by Maxwell Nurnberg
And develop a habit of writing your experience because giving appropriate words to your thoughts is the most difficult task to do so maintain a blog too if possible.

Mantra 6. General Awareness:

Talking about general awareness he motivates us to stay up to date about the news happening around the globe plus to open our minds to 360-degree learning whether its
related to our respective subjects or it's out of our syllabus maintain notebooks and write them all cause life is all about learning it's an endless journey of learning falling and growing.

Conclusion:

As a student such sessions were helpful for all of us and it's a good initiative by the gov and the college faculties to encourage students, to let them engage with their surroundings,  with learning from the experiences of those who have succeeded and achieved something great in their life.
Both personalities were very encouraging and helpful and equipped us with good thoughts making us future-ready.
with all these, I would like to thanks my college members, respective faculties, and our seniors for providing us with such good mentorship and guidance.

This is your curious companion
